Help bring the market to life each week! The Set-Up Crew works behind the scenes to get the space ready for vendors and visitors.

Key Tasks:

• Assist with setting up, signage, reserved parking barricades, and tents.
• Assist with removing reserved parking barricades before the market starts.

Shift Times:

Thursdays: 12:15 PM – 2:00 PM
Saturdays: 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM

Skills or Traits Needed:

• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet.
• Team player with a can-do attitude.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Comfortable working outdoors

Role Summary:

Serve as the friendly face of the market! Info Booth Assistants welcome visitors, answer questions, and provide assistance with wayfinding and program information.

Key Tasks:

• Greet visitors and provide general market information.
• Answer questions about special events and programs (e.g., Market Money, Bikes & Baskets).
• Handle lost-and-found and basic incident reports.

Shift Times:

Thursdays: 1:45 PM –  6:15 PM
Saturdays: 9:45 AM – 2:15 PM

Skills or Traits Needed:

• Friendly and approachable.
• Good communication skills.
• Comfortable interacting with people of all ages.
• Willing to learn about the market and programs

Role Summary:

Capture the heart of the market! Through candid photos and short video clips that highlight the people, produce, and spirit of the day.

Key Tasks:

• Capture candid, high-quality photos or short videos of vendors, shoppers, and market happenings.
• Focus on joyful, vibrant moments that show the diversity and energy of the market.
• Submit top 10–20 shots or short clips within 48 hours after the market

Shift Times:

Flexible within market hours: 

Thursdays 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Saturdays 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Skills or Traits Needed:

• Experience with photography or video (smartphone is fine if quality is good!).
• Comfortable approaching people for consent.
• Ability to send files promptly.

Role Summary:

Be a vendor’s best friend! Floaters check in with vendors, help cover short breaks, and assist with small needs during the market.

Key Tasks:

• Visit vendors to see if they need a break or support.
• Watch booths briefly while vendors take a washroom or snack break.
• Relay messages between vendors and market staff.
• Help with minor set-up issues (tablecloths, sign placement, etc.)

Shift Times:

Thursdays: 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Skills or Traits Needed:

• Reliable and attentive.
• Friendly and helpful.
• Quick learner and adaptable.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods

Role Summary:

Help us grow better! These volunteers collect data from shoppers through simple dot surveys OR count visitors.

Key Tasks:

• Count visitors (a great fit for someone who prefers a quiet, independent task without much interaction).
• Approach visitors to invite them to participate in a dot survey.
• Share feedback with market staff at the end of the shift.

Shift Times:

Thursdays: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Skills or Traits Needed:

• Friendly and outgoing.
• Respectful listening and communication skills.

Role Summary:

Wrap up the day with us! Take-Down Crew helps pack up market gear and restore the site to its original state.

Key Tasks:

• Take down and store tents, tables, & signs.
• Help vendors carry items to vehicles as needed.
• Check for leftover items.
• Ensure the site is clean and clear.

Shift Times:
No takedown before closing time!

Thursdays: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Saturdays*: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
* Family FUNfair: 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Skills or Traits Needed:

• Capable of lifting and carrying.
• Detail-oriented and tidy.
• Cooperative and safety-conscious.
• Able to stay until tasks are completed
