I started this journey 7 years ago because I wanted to bring fresh, nutrient-rich produce straight from our soil to the table, and asparagus was the perfect fit for our land and climate.
At Brooks Farmers Market, I bring fresh asparagus, pickled asparagus, and asparagus pesto that are harvested daily at peak tenderness, grown using sustainable practices, and full of flavour thanks to our mineral-rich prairie soil.
One thing that sets my products apart is our early-season asparagus, which thrives thanks to our sunny spring days and cool nights, giving it a sweet, crisp bite. My favorite part about being a vendor is meeting customers who are trying asparagus for the first time and watching families return each season for their favorite bundles.
If you’re looking for our best-selling pickled asparagus, make sure to stop by my booth! I always recommend adding it to a charcuterie board or chopping it into a pasta salad for a tangy twist.
